Caveman Share “You Got A Feeling”

A centerpiece of the NYC scene, Caveman have returned after a long hiatus, with their first new music since 2016. Their EP “New Sides” was surprise released earlier this month and today, they are releasing a video for “You Got A Feeling”. “This song is kind of about the anxiety of feeling trapped in a situation. Sort of a cabin fever type thing,” says singer Matthew Iwanusa. “I filmed it all in Brooklyn but was able to get my friend to film his cabin where he was. Seemed fitting for how the world is right now.”

The song and EP have been embraced by old fans and new – the song landing a strong first week placement on Spotify’s “All New Indie.” This new EP speaks to a lot more new music on the horizon for Caveman in 2020. The band are Matthew Iwanusa, James Carbonetti and Jeff Berrall. Since Caveman first formed in 2010 they’ve claimed a spot for themselves at the center of the New York music scene, toured the world (sharing stages with The War on Drugs Jeff Tweedy, and Weezer), festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits, and gotten love from everyone from Pitchfork to the New York Times. They’ve released 3 full length albums on labels such as Fat Possum and Johnny Shipes’ Cinematic Recordings.
