Pa Salieu Releases Debut Project Send Them To Coventry

Today, Gambia by-way-of Coventry’s Pa Salieu continues his ascent with the release of his debut project. Send Them To Coventry, out now via Atlantic Records, is the realization of the distinct take on UK rap that the multi-faceted artist showcased across his early releases. It’s a release built around his singular voice, but also that of rising UK artists like Mahalia and M1llionz, Trinidad artist Boy Boy and UK singer Eight9Fly, alongside those of emerging rappers from his hometown on “Active” (Ni Santora, Lz Dinero, Stizee and Shakavellie).

The project includes his previously-released singles “B***K,” “Frontline,” “Betty,” “My Family” featuring Backroad Gee, “Energy” featuring Mahalia, which premiered as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record yesterday, and “Block Boy,” which received widespread acclaim and established Pa Salieu as one of the most exciting and pioneering young voices in music within the space of nine short months. The release of Send Them To Coventry also arrives after “Dem A Lie,” his first crossover moment in the States which was featured on the hit HBO show Ballers, after Pa graced the covers of Mixmag, Wonderland and the Evening Standard and after his debut live performance on YouTube last month where he previewed select songs from the project.
