Chattanooga women’s basketball junior forward Eboni Williams earned her second straight nod from College Sports Madness as its Southern Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Williams posted a double-double to lead Chattanooga to a 77-64 non-conference win over North Alabama to give UTC its 28th winning record against non-conference opponents. She had a game-highs for scoring with 17 points and rebounding with 12. She added a season-best three steals and two assists in the win. She shot 40 percent against the Lions and was 4-of-6 from the free throw line.
Williams leads UTC in scoring with 15.1 points per game and is second on the team in rebounding with 7.3. She ranks fourth in the Southern Conference in both categories and is shooting 46 percent on the year.
The Mocs open Southern Conference action Saturday, Jan. 9 against in-state rival East Tennessee State. The game is set to tip off at 2:00 p.m. at The McKenzie Arena.
