Danielle de Picciotto’s third solo album The Element of Love will be released on Valentine’s Day 2021 by Broken Clover Records via 12” vinyl LP and digital download. The album was recorded at Studio 65 in Berlin, produced by de Picciotto with Alexander Hacke engineering.
Her compositions are a mixture of spoken word, electronic soundscapes and melancholic violin harmonies moving from experimental sounds to mystical melodies. Her album reflects the broken heart of our society, which has almost destroyed our planet thanks to corruption but also reminds us, that: “We who fly to the moon and have Einstein’s theory, Truly underestimate our own glory.”
The magnificence of her lyrics and music combined remind us of the beauty we still have amid the destruction and asks us to become the superhero’s we can be to save the world and ourselves.
Danielle de Picciotto is an American interdisciplinary musician, residing in Berlin. Besides singing in bands (Crime & The City Solution, Space Cowboys), exhibiting her artwork internationally and releasing books she co- initiated the Berlin Love Parade in 1989 and “The Ocean Club” together with Gudrun Gut. In 2001 she began collaborating with Alexander Hacke, founding member of Einstürzende Neubauten. They married in 2006 and have been touring the world ever since with their band hackedepicciotto.
Danielle’s first solo album Tacoma was released on Moabit, the experimental / spoken word label by Gudrun Gut. Her second solo album Deliverance appeared May 2019 on the UK label Louder Than War.
