J Balvin Shares Deep-Rooted New Reggaeton Single

“Tu Veneno,” the second offering from J Balvin’s forthcoming album is out now. The song and video, directed by Jose Sagaro and produced by Filmheads, were unveiled last night after he teased the track on his Instagram earlier this week. The song, produced by Sky Rompiendo and Taiko, is a quintessential expression of reggaeton culture through its beat, and lyrically it delves into the complex layers of a toxic relationship. “Tu Veneno” follows his previously-released single “Ma G,” which Billboard said “marks a return to Balvin’s rap roots,” and was unveiled during the Alvarez/Avni Yildirim fight last month where Balvin accompanied his friend and the world’s #1 ranked active boxer, Canelo Alvarez, to the ring.
