Vegyn Releases New EP ‘Like A Good Old Friend’

An artist who has captured imaginations by contributing to seminal works from some of contemporary music’s most exciting names (Frank Ocean/Kali Uchis/Babyfather) and within this own forward-thinking output, Vegyn is an artist who has consistently helped to push the boundaries of the modern pop format. His new EP Like A Good Old Friend, out now via PLZ Make It Ruins, sees his widescreen vision transform further; presenting his own warped take on dancefloor sounds imbued with a unique electronic emotion. The new EP contains previously released singles “I See You Sometimes” ft. Jeshi, a time-stretched blend of analog rhythms and melancholic electro-rap that PAPER called “one-of-a-kind,” and “B4 The Computer Crash,” a paradoxical cut of glitched 4/4 rhythms with the same frenetic yet meditative percussive signature that Vegyn has made his own.

Released via his own PLZ Make It Ruins label, Like A Good Old Friend is a new, six track collection of dancefloor experimentations that will consolidate Vegyn’s status as one of the UK’s most unique creatives – an artist who refuses to compromise in a way that’s endlessly imaginative while maintaining an insatiable sense of fun across a number of different mediums.
