Men’s Golf Sixth after 18 at Furman

The Chattanooga Mocs are in sixth after 18 holes of the Furman Intercollegiate. The Mocs shot 10-over 294 at the par 71 Furman Golf Club sitting a single shot behind Charleston Southern in fifth.

Leon Bader and Alex Cobb led the quintet Friday with 2-over 73s. They’re tied for 17th, one ahead of the duo of Paul Conroy and Matt Smith with 74. A.J. Lintunen had the drop score, his first of the season, with 76 as Gabe Hunter turned in 77 playing as an individual.

Furman used its local knowledge to take the early lead with 283. Wofford is second at 287 followed by Florida Gulf Coast (290) and George Mason (292) ahead of the Bucs and Mocs. The Paladins Keller Harper and GMUs Colin Slater are tied for the lead with 66s.
