Runnner’s new album Always Repeating, his debut for Run For Cover Records released July 16th, was just picked by i-D/Vice as one of the Best Albums of Summer 2021, and has earned additional praise and support via Paste, Stereogum, The Line of Best Fit (feature), Brooklyn Vegan, and more . Run For Cover Records today shared a new video segment where songwriter Noah Weinman breaks down how he elevated album stand-out “Awash” from its 2017 original, and discusses his recording process at home in Los Angeles, CA. The behind the scenes video follows a recent Record Selection segment where the label gave Weinman $50 to spend at a record store (his picks included Arthur Russell’s Calling Out of Context, Daniel Johnston’s FUN, Aphex Twin’s Windowlicker, Boards of Canada’s Geogaddi, and more).
After playing an intimate sold-out show in Los Angeles last week, Runnner will celebrate the new album with a headline show at Brooklyn’s Union Pool on August 25th. Runnner will also support frequent collaborator Skullcrusher on a fall U.S. tour beginning in Seattle, WA on November 29th, and including shows at LA’s Lodge Room on December 3rd and Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Zone One on December 15th.
