Mild High Club Shares New Song ”A New High” Featuring Winter

Today, Mild High Club shares a new song, “A New High” featuring Winter, the final single from the new album Going Going Gone, out via Stones Throw on September 17th.

“A New High” features LA-based Brazilian singer Samira Winter of the band Winter and its title alludes to the transportive and transformative power of music. Speaking about his collaboration with Winter, Alex Brettin says, “We linked up with our mutual fascination with Brazilian music and the musical and poetic quality of the Portuguese language. I had the joyful challenge of writing and fitting notes and rhythms to another language’s nuance and meter, with all the linguistic and grammatical differences from writing in English, while Samira had the challenge of working around my ideas.” An animation by Dr Foothead portrays a character getting lost in ecstasy as they groove to the beat.

Stones Throw will release Going Going Gone in September. Mild High Club will be playing two shows in LA and NYC around the release of the album.

Upcoming Live Dates:

9/19 – Los Angeles, CA @ The Belasco
9/24 – New York, NY @ Webster Hall
