Tomi Releases New Single “If I Wasn’t Yours, Who Was I”

LA-based singer/songwriter Tomi (née Pam Autuori) today released “If I Wasn’t Yours, Who Was I,” the latest single from her forthcoming EP Sweet, Sweet Honey due out October 8th via her own label In Between Records. Out now alongside a Super8 video that projects live paint over Autuori’s silhouettes created by DrippyEye Projections and Austin Nelson, the bittersweet track finds her moving beyond heartbreak over an expansive musical terrain that blends atmospheric folk and an urgent beat. “This song is about loss of identity after a relationship has ended,” she explains. “It’s about starting over and getting to know yourself, your wants, your needs and your desires again, from scratch. To be loved by another is endlessly beautiful but to be loved by yourself is endlessly powerful. This is a story about resilience and longing for a love you can only find within yourself.” Tomi will celebrate her new EP with an LA album release show at Hotel Cafe’s Second Stage on October 9th.
