Today, Crush of Souls — the solo project of Charles Rowell of noise band Crocodiles — shares the title track off their forthcoming EP, Call You, alongside a music video.
The music video features Tuna Mess, the star of last year’s “Pain & Ecstasy” clip. She’s on form again as she searches endlessly for her dead lover while drowning her sorrows on the steps of the Sacré Cœur in Paris. Her lover arrives at nightfall and they are reunited under shimmering flood lights.
Throughout the track, The Souls are calling out to you and, this time, it’s not lead screamer Charles Rowell at the helm of the ghost ship; it’s Zeynep Kaya of Strasbourg band Hermetic Delight. Her gentle whispers float above a violent dance floor nightmare that’s darker but also more accessible than any of their other songs.
