Paris Texas Releases New EP

After announcing it on Monday on socials, rising Los Angeles duo Paris Texas is releasing its new EP Red Hand Akimbo today. The five-track project from Louie Pastel and Felix finds the duo expanding upon the undefinable combo of rap and punk energy from their debut, evident on the new Kenny Beats co-produced track “BULLSEYE.” The project also features the previously released single “girls like drugs,” which arrived with visuals directed by Zhamak Fullad and Raheem Hercule. Over the last few weeks, the duo has been hinting at the new material with various teasers posted to their socials, including one that features Zack Fox, which extends the storyline they built around their debut EP Boy Anonymous.

Red Hand Akimbo arrives after the buzz the duo accrued when they appeared on the scene out of nowhere with their debut project Boy Anonymous earlier this year.   Boy Anonymous saw the LA-based duo cover a dizzying range of sonic textures and moods with tracks like “Force Of Habit,” “Situations” and “Heavy Metal.”

Additionally, the duo is playing three sold-out headlining shows in celebration of Red Hand Akimbo‘s surprise release, including tonight in Los Angeles at the Moroccan Lounge followed by New York and London next week. In Spring 2022, Paris Texas will be supporting Brockhampton on an extensive North American tour.
