Hard Rock/Metal band Uncured releases its powerful new anthem “Take Me Away” today. Uncured is a 4-piece from New Jersey that is known for its energetic live shows, dynamic vocals, catchy riffs, and blistering guitar solos.
“Take Me Away” showcases the incredible, four-octave vocal range of Uncured’s lead singer Rex Cox. In addition to Uncured’s precision guitar work including two exquisite guitar solos, “Take Me Away” features full orchestral strings and brass throughout.
Rex Cox wrote “Take Me Away” during the lock-down at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. “‘Take Me Away’ is a song about the various stresses created by isolation and detachment. The song tells the story of the growing divide between a couple, and the longing for better times. Ultimately, ‘Take Me Away’ is a song of liberation, strength, and freedom. The orchestral components give the song a soaring sense of emotional release,” says Rex Cox.
