Iamsound & Zora Announce NFT Art Exhibition, “Fantasy”
IAMSOUND, the hybrid creative studio, record label and visual artist management firm, and Zora, the open-source ecosystem for online media, are partnering to present a new NFT art exhibition. Available on Saturday, October 30th, works made exclusively for this exhibition will also be screened at Brain Dead Studios from 1-3 pm in the theatre upon release day. The exhibition includes work from the likes of singer-songwriter Yeek, musician Nick Hakim, singer-songwriter and poet Jamila Woods, artist, photographer, director and creative director Aidan Cullen, photographer Pia Riverola, filmmaker Jordan Hemingway, photographer and director Kelianne, sculptor and hairstylist Janice Mascarenhas, and singer-songwriter beabadoobee alongside collaborators Sky Kawano and Khalisha, a design duo whose work is inspired by their childhood gaming experiences.
Artworks will be available for auction through Zora, a universal protocol made to mint, share and exchange non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Operating as digital certificates, Zora NFTs are uniquely created and shared on Ethereum in a way that allows the original creator of the NFT to earn from the subsequent transactions of that artwork on any exchange.
Zora’s permissionless and universally accessible protocol allows creators to reclaim ownership of their media by creating and owning markets for their digital certificates. In this way, Zora and its protocol are at the heart of the movement among creators to fairly be compensated for the creation, sale and resale of their work and a natural fit for collaboration with IAMSOUND, who represents creators of all kinds — from recording to visual artists.
