Health & Poppy Collaborate On New Single “Dead Flowers”

Following collaborations with Nine Inch Nails (“Isn’t Everyone”) and Tyler Bates (“Anti-Life” ft. Chino Moreno from the Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack), Health today released their third single of 2021: “Dead Flowers,” a collaboration with Poppy. “Every time we release a new track we get asked to give a quote about it. Truthfully, I’m not sure it makes much of a difference,” Health says. Poppy rose to fame with her performance art videos that present her as an android entity, satirizing internet culture and modern society. Poppy’s ethereal vocals combined with Health’s industrial edge gives “Dead Flowers” an arresting juxtaposition that builds to a cathartic finale.

“Dead Flowers” and “Isn’t Everyone” will appear on the forthcoming album Disco4 :: Part II, Health’s sequel to 2020’s collaboration debut LP Disco4 :: Part I featuring songs with the likes of 100 gecs, JPEGMAFIA, Soccer Mommy, Full of Hell, Ghostemane, and more. Health are set to play LA’s Substance festival in late November and are currently working on the follow-up to their 2019 album, Vol. 4 :: Slaves Of Fear (Loma Vista Recordings).
