The last time 16-year-old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Wallis released a music video (2020’s “Lonely Christmas”), it went viral on YouTube with over 1.2 million views in an 18-day span during the holiday season. After delivering a long-awaited follow-up single, “Another Day,” this past summer, Wallis featuring the Schriver Sisters has released the companion video for the track as well as an extended version.
Directed by Wallis and Gene Schriver, who also serves as co-writer, the video was shot on an iPhone 11 Pro Max in Cape May, NJ during Hurricane Ida, which made for an extreme setting. Wallis is hoping to add to the overnight success of “Lonely Christmas” with this new single as the 2021 holiday season kicks into high gear.
“I’m excited to share the video for Another Day!” said Wallis. “We shot this video with family and friends while at the shore in New Jersey, where we filmed in high winds on the beach, in a beautiful old church, an arcade, and in the movie theatre of a ridiculously ornate Victorian house. It was a lot of work but also so much fun.”
