MadeinTYO + UnoTheActivist Announce New Collaborative Album

Today, MadeinTYO and UnoTheActivist come together to announce their new collaborative album Yokohama, due out December 3rd. In addition to the announcement, the duo share the lead single from Yokohama: “Love Myself”. Since the rappers previously collaborated in 2018 on the release of “Good Gas” and “Live A Lil,” they’ve spent hundreds of hours in the studio and are now connecting on an album that highlights how Japan has influenced them. They named the project after a train station in Japan that MadeinTYO frequented growing up and the name resonated with UnoTheActivist as well following his frequent trips to the country before the pandemic.

Alongside the new single and album announcement the duo are also announcing a string of North American tour dates for 2022. Dates begin in February in Atlanta with stops including Los Angeles, Chicago and New York before concluding in Toronto in March.

The album announcement arrives after MadeinTYO’s 2020 album Never Forgotten, which featured artists including J Balvin, Chance The Rapper, Smino, Toro y Moi, Young Nudy, Ty Dolla $ign, Cam’ron, LUCKI, BJ the Chicago Kid, Wiz Khalifa, and the late Chynna. This year, the rapper additionally released a follow up deluxe edition to the album, Never Forgotten (SOUL-LUXE) which featured remixes from various Soulection DJ’s and producers. Never Forgotten followed Tokyo’s 2018 album Sincerely, Tokyo and his deluxe project You Are Forgiven which included hit single “Uber Everywhere” that went 2x platinum and was followed by “Ned Flanders” hitting gold and “I Want (feat. 2 Chainz)” reaching platinum.
