Jesse Colin Young Announces Empty House Concert Livestream Events with Mandolin

Legendary singer-songwriter Jesse Colin Young has announced his Empty House Concert livestream series in partnership with Mandolin. Set for April 10 and April 24 at 8:00 pm Eastern, the solo acoustic concerts feature Young sharing stories and performing songs from his stunning six-decade catalog of works.

General asmission tickets start at $20, with a VIP Package offered for $55 which includes a pre-show cocktail/mocktail Q&A with Jesse on April 24, as well as one tumbler and a cocktail napkin.

“I played these two shows solo to an empty house imagining my audience and their love of the music. It was so different to not have you there,” said Jesse Colin Young. “So, let’s raise a glass together knowing we are past the worst of the pandemic and hoping we will get to see each other in person real soon.”

In late 2020, Young released his 22nd solo album, Highway Troubadour, via BMG. Highway Troubadour marks the first truly solo acoustic record for Young since his debut album, 1964’s The Soul of a City Boy. The Empty House Concert series will feature songs from Highway Troubadour as well as others from his entire discography.

Recorded with just two AEA A440 ribbon microphones to capture warmth – one for his voice, and one for his guitar – Highway Troubadour features newly-recorded solo performances of songs from Jesse Colin Young’s entire catalog, including a revised take on the Youngbloods’ “Sugar Babe” and an intimate version of “Cast a Stone” from his critically-acclaimed 2019 release, Dreamers.
