UTC Beach Volleyball’s Gallentine and Finch Named OVC Pair of the Week
Gylian Finch and Paige Gallentine of the Chattanooga Mocs’ Beach Volleyball team were named the Ohio Valley Conference pair of the week after a 1-1 week at the No. 2 pair. It’s the second-straight week a Mocs duo have earned the honor.
The pair began the week with a three-set win (21-13, 18-21, 15-10) win over North Alabama on Saturday before dropping the final match of the doubleheader to a different North Alabama duo at No. 2.
“Paige and Gylian have been a big part of this program for the last two years,” said Head Coach Darin Van Horn. “I am happy for them as they are recognized for their contributions. Both of them, and the team, are looking forward to building on our successes each week.”
This is the first career accolade for both Gallentine and Finch. It’s the third in program history after winning the award last week and once last season.
The Mocs return to the sand on Thursday, March 10 for their home opener at noon against UNC Wilmington before a rematch against North Alabama at 4 p.m.
