The Chattanooga Mocs women’s golf team completed the UNF Collegiate Tuesday afternoon. The ladies turned in their best of three scores with a 311 to end up at 939, two shots ahead of Cincinnati.
Megan Docherty paced the quartet with a 75. That was just ahead of Carolina Hortian’s 77. She was followed by Dorota Zalewska with 79 and Esme Hamilton’s 80.
Zalewska had the low 54-hole total of 228. Hamilton came in next at 232. Docherty added 236, While Hortian finished with 243.
Host North Florida claimed the win. It’s even-par 288 today earned a seven-stroke win with a 1-over total of 865. Anna Morgan (Furman) and Berta Sanchez Sabe (Jacksonville State) tied for medalist honors with 6-under 210s.
The Mocs return to the tee March 14-15 at the Jackrabbit Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event is played at scenic Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev.
