Sitting On Stacy Unveils New Single

Today, Southern California rock band Sitting On Stacy reveals their new single “Some Kind Of Way”, out now on Let’s Get It! Records/Republic Records.

On “Some Kind Of Way”, Sitting On Stacy says, “It’s both hopeful and melancholy. The verses have a sadness of missing someone, while the chorus is hopeful and happy about the memory of being with the one you love. We wanted it to feel beachy and relaxing.”

On the artwork the bands says, “Hoyt used a purple background; a mixture of the blue of melancholy and the red of love. The reggae undertones feel hypnotic and he wanted to use a peripheral drift illusion to trick the eye into thinking the still image was moving and hypnotic. It’s a phenomenon you can’t control, much like you can’t control your emotions about someone you love making you feel ‘some kind of way’.”

Sitting On Stacy recently wrapped their co-headline tour with fellow Californians The Aquadolls, where they performed their new singles live for the first time. The new music sets the stage for their forthcoming project, coming out later this year.
