alexalone Share Cover of “Rainbow”

Experimental Austin, TX band, alexalone, have shared a brand new single and lyric video for their cover of “Rainbow”, originally written by legendary Japanese band, Boris.

Led by founding songwriter Alex Peterson, alexalone’s recording of “Rainbow” was originally recorded in 2020, and features the contributing talents of bandmates Sam Jordan, Mari Maurice (more eaze), and Drewsky Hulett – the same lineup behind band’s 2021 Polyvinyl debut, ALEXALONEWORLD.

Speaking about the collaborative effort behind this recording, Peterson also shared “Drewsky played the ripping guitar solo and Mari sang the sick vocals which are usually my roles, so seeing that they could be occupied by other people so well in this band was very exciting. It was the first time the four of us worked on something that wasn’t our ALEXALONEWORLD record and it is a fun document of the short time before Hannah (Read, of Lomelda) joined the band, as well as a tribute to one of my favorite bands of all time.”
