Scarlett Flynn is an alt pop singer/songwriter making her debut as a solo artist after performing as the co-lead vocalist in pop/folk band Running Red Lights for 15 years.
“Sour In The Sun” was one of many songs forged during the pandemic lockdowns. “Every day was a mix of warring with the unrelenting banality of isolation and the perpetual weighing of two very contrary impulses; the impulse to construct and the impulse to destroy.”
Flynn’s upcoming solo debut album, Living is Hell is a collection of beloved songs that includes “Sour In The Sun” andwill be out later this year. It was written over the expanse of the pandemic lockdown as she wrestled with the psychological consequences of social isolation.
