Seth Walker’s “Why Do I Cry Anymore” Out Today

Seth Walker has released “Why Do I Cry Anymore”, the third and final single before his new studio album I Hope I Know is released next Friday, May 20. A minimalist and evocative soul-blues number, Walker sings from the perspective of someone who’s experienced the pain of a broken heart one too many times. The track features just Walker and his producer Jano Rix performing all of the parts.

“The song is a snapshot into the mind of a person walking around inside themselves all day endlessly asking heartbreaker questions to things they may never understand,” explains Walker. “I originally wrote it as more of a little swinging crooner ballad, but later Jano and I turned the groove upside down and created this version almost by accident with lots of space up in there.”

Seth Walker begins a U.S. tour in support of the release this Saturday at the Simply Texas Blues Festival. He’s also announced a European tour beginning at the end of June and extending into July.
