“I’m really excited to share the experience with everyone,” says Walden. “Supporting kids and music education is very close to my heart. You see kids’ confidence levels go up when they’re exposed to music. It raises their spirits in ways that are magical.”

The Birthday Salute to Stevie Wonder gives a hint of what’s to come: a new song called “The More I Love My Life” by Narada Michael Walden featuring Carlos Santana on guitar, Sting on vocals, and Stevie Wonder on harmonica. The song, which was inspired by the 2001 French song, “L’amour a Tous Les Droits,” will be released on Walden’s Tarpan Records this summer.

The song is just one of many upcoming projects from the Grammy and Emmy-winning superstar producer and musician, famed for his work with Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, and dozens more. He recently put the finishing touches on the highly anticipated forthcoming new album by legendary guitarist, songwriter, and Journey member Neal Schon. He is also currently working on a new solo album to be titled Songs for Seven Days of the Week: Love is a Rocket Ship to the Stars. “I’m having a blast,” he says. “It’s kind of a concept record. I’m doing songs like ‘Come Saturday Morning,’ ‘Sunday Will Never Be the Same,’ ‘Rainy Days and Mondays’ – great songs people know and love, plus I’ll be doing some of my own compositions. I can’t wait to finish it. It’s going to be something really special.”
