The Chattanooga Mocs added two new WGCA All-American Scholars this week with the organization’s announcement of Megan Docherty and Esme Hamilton earning the award. It’s the 33rd and 34th instances in program history.
Docherty, a freshman, earned her first, while it’s No. 4 for Hamilton. Hamilton, a 2022 graduate, is the fourth Mocs golfer to claim the honor all four years joining Maria Juliana Loza (2010-13), Megan Woods (2015-18) and Monica San Juan (2016-19). Docherty is the 13th Mocs freshman to meet the 3.50 or better cumulative GPA qualification.
It was a strong year for the program. Docherty had a 4.0 in each of her first two semesters beginning her path toward a Finance degree. The entire roster earned Dean’s List honors at least once with Docherty and Dorota Zalewska doing it twice.
The ladies combined for a 3.396 GPA in the fall before making the turn and completing a 3.516 over the spring. It was the 10th-best fall team tally and seventh from the spring as 12 of the Mocs programs topped the 3.0 threshold both semesters.
