Rare Americans Share “Moving On”

Rare Americans announce their upcoming release You’re Not A Bad Person, It’s Just A Bad World due out August 19th via Empire. The band is also proud to be donating $1 to Pink Shirt Day (PinkShirtDay.ca) for each pre-save received. Pink Shirt Day aims to raise bullying awareness, as well as support programs that foster children’s healthy self-esteem. With the goal of raising $50,000 for the cause, Rare Americans recently released a limited-run t-shirt for fans to purchase, each sale marking an additional dollar to be donated to charity.

Across nine tracks, You’re Not A Bad Person, It’s Just A Bad World grapples with the harsh state of the world and the toll it can have on an individual’s well being and mental health. Through a cathartic blend of pop punk and alternative rock, Rare Americans find solace in high-energy despair as they maneuver through a grim reality. Along with the announcement, the band shares the latest single, “Moving On” with an accompanying Crooked City Studios animated music video that depicts the emotional residue of an ended relationship.

“The hardest part is letting go of someone you love, even when you know in your heart it’s the right decision. Relationships are scary. Loss hurts. Trusting someone new takes courage. These are often things in one’s personal life that people sometimes forget about, but they can be the biggest contributors to mental health.”
